Back in 2020, while everyone was acclimating to the lockdown, I was in my element: my life didn’t change at all.
But I was recovering from shoulder surgery and in the need of a project. While I was experienced in Photoshop,
it was a tool I only used for my clients and never for my own work. And then it dawned on me that I could in fact
use it for my own work. Within a week, I had purchased a new scanner and began scanning hundreds of my negatives.
This project became something of a tribute for the Pacific, as I doubt I’ll ever photograph it again. All I have left is how I imagine it.
