Vermont

In 2016, my husband and I moved from Los Angeles to northern Vermont. A move like that is life-changing; aside from acclimating to a new lifestyle, it also meant that I was saying goodbye to my darkroom. For awhile, I began to tell myself I had retired from photography. It’s something I’ve said before; but this time I meant it. That DSLR I bought in L.A. on a whim that was still in its original box, still in the shopping bag weeks after our move?
What was I thinking?

Then, one rainy afternoon, I took the camera out of the box. My reasoning? Look where we live. How could I not photograph it?

All of the images below represent the place I called home for eight years.
I have since moved away, but I am grateful I had the opportunity to live there.
